The harpist, Lara Garner, is also a classically-trained pianist who has a music degree from UC Berkeley and has performed and lived in Paris and Rome, as well as in the SF Bay Area. She plays the major repertoire of piano chamber music, as well as accompanies singers and provides the musical accompaniment for operas and musicals. Lara also performs in the classical piano trio "Con Spirito", and in the classical quartet "Baroque a Quattro". As a harpist, she plays beautiful solo celtic harp for weddings and other events, as well as in combination with other instruments. The other groups she performs with are the harp & flute duo "Bianco Fiore", "The Peninsula Scottish Trio", and with the "Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers".
Martha is a Coastside fiddler and classical violin performer who received her music degree from University of Colorado. She studied jazz violin at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where jazz violin legend Joe Venuti once said to her, "So you've got your classical etudes - now play them in all 12 keys."?!? As co-founder and an instructor at the Spindrift School of Performing Arts, she finds her heart freed and her British Isles roots found in Celtic fiddle. She performs and teaches at the Spindrift School of the Arts in Pacifica, Ca.
David has been a professional musician for over 35 years, playing drums, percussion, and fretted instruments. He has played in live and recorded contexts from Northern to Southern California, ranging from jazz, rock, blues, folk, country-western, and classical. His venues have included weddings, concerts, musicals, art festivals, churches, and "many a poorly-lit bar-room". Though largely self-taught, David has studied percussion and guitar with different teachers and mentors over his career.
